Grand Junction to Moab Moab Utah 4 Day Dinosaur Tour

 

This tour is a 4 day Utah tour that begins and ends in Grand Junction Co. The itinerary includes National Parks in Moab, Dead Horse Point State Park, as well as regional museums and cultural resources.

 

Day 1: Grand Junction Co - Moab

• Breakfast in Grand Junction

• Tour of Dinosaur Journey Museum Fruita, Co 550 (Jurassic Court Fruita, CO 81521)(9 am – 5 pm May 1 –    September 30) (10 am -4 pm; Sunday 12 pm- 4 pm October 1 - April 30)   https://museumofwesternco.com/dinosaur-journey/

• Lunch in Fruita Colorado

• Stop at Thompson Welcome Center, Mile Marker 190  I-70 West

• Optional (Sego Canyon Petroglyphs, 21 Sego Cyn Rd. #104, Thompson Springs, UT)

• Drive to Moab

• Visit the Museum of Moab. Hours: Monday–Saturday, March 15 – 0ctober 15 10am-6pm/October 16-March 14 12pm-5 pm)

Day 2: Moab

• Breakfast

• Visit Moab Information Center for directions to Moab’s dinosaur and rock art sites

• AM : Copper Ridge Dinosaurs Tracks and Dinosaur Stomping Grounds track site

• Lunch out on the trail ( several business and hotels can provide box lunches)

• PM: Mill Canyon Dinosaur Bone Trail and Track Site

• Dinner and overnight in Moab

• After dinner and before bedtime visit Moab Rock Shop, 600 North Main, Moab UT 84532

Day 3: Moab

• Sunrise at Arches National Park  ( bring to-go breakfast)

• Morning tour of Arches National Park all pavement or one to include dirt roads & Dinosaur Tracks or

Day 4: Moab to Blanding (approximately 75 miles)

• Drive to Blanding UT
